Barking now.

Rosie has started to exercise her vocal cords now, barking to get attention and show frustration. She is getting spoiled. After every trip outside to relieve herself, she gets toweled off and bunches of hugs. She is still sleeping in her crate through the night but after her morning trip outside she takes another nap in our bed. What a life!

First bath

Rosie had her first bath at home yesterday. She looked like a wet rat. We dried her off with the hair dryer to prevent her getting chilled.

First Doctors visit

Weighed about 2 lbs. Did very well, even with the rectal thermometer use. Playing hard and sleeping hard.

Life with Rosie - Day 3

Yesterday she ate well for the first time. She really enjoys her toys and being part of the family.

Life with Rosie - Day 2

Not too bad. She spent last night in her cage with only a little whining. She seems clueless about the potty training though.

Life with Rosie

Today we begin life with Rosie, a miniature, long-haired, red sable dachshund. How will she mesh with this family of 5? I will keep you posted.
