General observations in Nantes, France

1) Youth. Driven by the presence of the university. 

2) Not diverse. Primarily Caucasian. 

3) Very few people were "heads down", staring at their smartphone. Unlike the U.S.  

4) Temperature did not seem to dictate outerwear. Scarves, jackets layered on top of hoodies. 

5) Skinny jeans are "in". 

6) Speaking of skinny, not all French women are.
